Poppy

Poppy was found tied up and abandoned outside her owners house, left out in the cold. It turned out that her owner went into hospital and the lady’s children didnt want to care for her, they knew their mother no longer could either and thought this was the best solution.

One of our local dog groomers, Lisa from Groomer on the Crouch took it upon herself to take surrender forms to the hospital for Poppy’s mum and bring her her to safety here with us for which we will be forever grateful.

She met the other dogs, joined in with the fun and games here and was soon spotted by her new mummy who she is now so happy with. Poppy is now a community street watch volunteer who loves to wear her high vis and badge out and about! She helps marshall events like the gay pride celebrations in their local town and is always very popular with the locals.
