Spirit of the Dog Rescue is an Essex based canine rehabilitation and rehoming charity; we have been established since 2004 and became registered charity number 1123664 in April 2008.

We keep our numbers low to maintain the highest possible quality of care, every dog is different and we make it our priority to find out what they’re passionate about when matching them to their perfect forever homes. Their video diaries are shared publicly online as they move through this wonderful process and begin to shine bright in their own individual ways.

Every single dog has rescue back up (RBU) for the rest of their lives which means that if their carer’s circumstances ever change they always have a safe place to go and team to support them. Once a Spirit Dog, always a Spirit Dog!
